-Spacecraft are almost exclusively artifacts of the modern and far-future, making Astronaut one of the most restricted vehicle-owning classes. More importantly, spacecraft are only a good addition to the game if the game's scope encompasses space at all... but if it does, the class becomes almost essential. As always, ask your referee.

-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Vehicle:** Spacecraft are vehicles and follow all vehicle rules outlined in the Vehicles section on the Game Concepts page. \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Terrain Limits:** Spacecraft can only be used in outer space (or other environments similarly bereft of gravity and atmosphere). \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Purchaseable:** You can own as many different vehicles as you want, but must purchase each one separately using Supply. A vehicle's Supply cost is determined by its size. Once you've purchased a spacecraft, it immediately gains the benefits of all Astronaut class abilities you know. You can only make active use of any one of your vehicles at a time. \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Fuel Costs:** Space travel requires some form of self-propulsion, and all spacecraft have some form of engine or power source that consumes fuel the same way that creatures consume food. Every day in which the vehicle was used requires you to spend 1 Supply or one use of a Fuel Can item. \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Space Coasting:** Momentum is not lost in space. Every time the spacecraft takes a move action, it continues to automatically and unavoidably take another move action in the same direction and for the same distance at the beginning of each round. For example, if you traveled five hexes forward and two to the right, the spacecraft will continue going five hexes forward and two to the right every round. You can stop this by taking an action to countermove in the opposite direction, canceling up to 10 meters' worth of stored momentum. Long-distance journeying works in the same way, only with momentum measured in regions per day instead of hexes per round. A spaceship needs to be crewed and use fuel in order to start or alter its momentum, but will coast all by itself without any other inputs required. \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Breach Hazard:** Spacecraft have tightly-sealed pressurized interiors. Every time a spacecraft is critically hit with an attack its hull gets damaged, represented in-game as one “Breach Point”. If a spacecraft's current Breach Points ever exceed its current Vitality, it immediately springs a leak and its interior becomes vacuum. Accumulated tatter points all go away automatically at the end of a session, or can be removed on a 1-for-1 basis by spending 1 Supply or one use of a Component Pack and a procedure. |

-====== Airlock ======
-
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Spacewalk Launch:** The spacecraft is fitted with a functional airlock, allowing creatures and objects to move between its interior and exterior without allowing any vacuum into the craft's interior. It takes a procedure to pass completely through an airlock in either direction. |
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Docking Bay:** Two spacecraft that both have airlocks can dock directly together, allowing creatures to pass between them freely. This takes a procedure to do and can only happen if both spacecraft are willing (or one of them is disabled).|
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Breach Seal:** Spacecraft that have been breached but not completely destroyed can be docked with by forming a seal over the breach site, even if they normally don't have airlocks. If either spacecraft have the Habitation ability, air can be manufactured to fill the breached spacecraft. |
-^ ^^^
-
-====== Habitation ======
-
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Artificial Gravity:** The interior of the spacecraft has some form of artificial gravity, allowing creatures inside it to walk around instead of floating. |
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Hibernation Pods:** The ship is equipped with facilities for putting creatures into suspended animation. While hibernating, creatures are helpless and oblivious to the world around them but do not age or require food, water or air (handy for long voyages through the void, as this greatly reduces the amount of food that gets consumed). \\ \\ {{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Controlled Systems:** Hibernation takes about an hour to either enter or leave. The ship can be set to automatically end the hibernation process at a specified time, upon arrival at a specified location, or in response to specified situations (such as a hull breach). |
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Atmosphere Generation:** The spacecraft can manufacture breathable air. If the craft gets breached and fills with vacuum, it can be re-filled with air if the breach is repaired. |
-^ ^^^
-
-====== Reactive Hull ======
-
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>eye-shield?48|Protection}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Modular Design:** Your spacecraft is exceptionally easy to perform minor repairs to. Removing a point of Breach from the spacecraft takes only a single action instead of a procedure, allowing you to do so mid-combat if you are so inclined. The Supply/Component Pack cost is unchanged. \\ \\ {{ra>doubled?24&align=left}}**Starbuck Synergy:** If the repair is performed by somebody who has the Emergency Protocol ability from the Starbuck class, one point of lost Vitality is also restored to the spacecraft with no additional cost in time or Supply/Component Pack uses. |
-^ ^^^
-
-====== Rocketeer ======
-
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Advanced Design:** You constantly improve your vehicles as your own understanding grows, making each one a masterful work of art. Your spacecraft are treated as being your level instead of always being level 5, allowing more classes and abilities to be installed on them via somebody with the Mechanic class. |
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>gear-hammer?48|Utility}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**By My Own Hands:** Since you know how to do a lot of the work yourself, your Supply costs for purchasing a new spacecraft are reduced. Every time you buy a new vehicle you may treat it as one size smaller than it actually is, effectively halving its price. |
-^ ^^^
-
-====== Stardrive ======
-
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>footprint?48|Movement}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Jet Engine:** Your spacecraft have advanced engines. Every time a spacecraft moves it can add up to 20 meters of acceleration per action instead of 10, and its traveling speed is increased to 20 regions of acceleration per day. \\ \\ {{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Fuel Costs:** More advanced engines require higher-grade fuel. For every day of use, you must spend 2 Supply/Fuel Can uses. |
-^ ^^^
-|{{fa>caret-right?24}} ^{{fa>star?24|Alternative}} |{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Full Burn:** Your engine can be pushed further. Movement speed is increased to 50 meters of acceleration per action, and travel speed is increased to 50 regions of acceleration per day. \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Gonna Need A Nibbler:** For every day of use, you must spend 3 Supply/Fuel Can uses. |
-^ ^^^
-^{{ra>footprint?48|Movement}} ||{{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Solar Sails:** Your spacecraft is also equipped with mechanisms that allow for fuel-free spaceflight, such as solar sails or a hydrogen scoop. When using your alternative engines, you never need to use Fuel in order to accelerate or decelerate. \\ \\ {{fa>minus-circle?24&align=left}}**Slow:** Alternative engines trade efficiency for power. Acceleration speed is reduced to 2 meters per action or 2 regions per day instead of the normal 10. |
