+Pheonix is an archetype that offers the ultimate insurance against death, but only in a very scarce quantity. Until your limited resurrections are used, they take up an ability slot that would otherwise be providing you with something you could actually use. After they're used, they become a new archetype... but not always necessarily one you were planning on taking. Advanced abilities provide very limited functionality in and of themselves but also let you cheat death once more for every one you learn.

Pheonix keystones cannot be used to temporarily gain any abilities from this archetype. |

You can make suggestions, but the ultimate choice is up to your referee. The best choices relate somehow to the manner or circumstances in which you died- for example, burning to death could give you the powers of a [[Firebug]] when you come back, drowning could make you a [[Mariner]], dying as a result of doing something very stupid could make you a [[Fool]], dying of excessively high Stress could make you a [[Lunatic]], or being unable to accept death due to having something left unfulfilled could make you [[Chosen]] or maybe even [[Undead]]. \\ \\ {{fa>plus-circle?24&align=left}}**Unbound Potential:** For all effects and purposes, you have taken a level in the selected archetype after dying (and can take further levels in it to learn advanced abilities from it if desired). Coming back restores all lost Flesh/Energy/Attention. If you were in a bad/dangerous position when you died (like swimming in lava or in the belly of a dragon, maybe) you come back in a safe place anywhere nearby that you want. If your friends carry on without you for a while, you can choose to rejoin them whenever's convenient even if they're in a completely different place than where you died. |
