Archetypes

An archetype is both what you are and what you do. All archetypes are structured identically: the archetype itself which serves as anchor and entry-point, then a group of five related abilities that expand upon the archetype's core functionality in some way. You gain a new archetype or advanced ability from an archetype you already have every time you level up.

For an adventurer, violence is both interesting and (probably) inevitable. Taking at least one level in a weapon-using archetype is recommended but not strictly required. Do what you want.

To generate a random archetype, roll two dice. The first die's value is the category (see above chart) and the second die's value is the individual archetype within that category- so rolling a 4 followed by a 9 would be an Agility archetype (category 4), specifically Sprinter (number 9 on the list).

Melee Weapons

Low to no ammunition requirements, but require you to get in pretty close. Be careful out there on the battlefield.
